Joshi, Nalini

Published:

Nalini Joshi was convicted in November 2001 of false accounting. Ms Joshi received a community punishment order consisting of 120 hours unpaid work, costs of £1163.25, and was ordered to pay compensation to the Post Office in the sum of £6191.88.

The CCRC received an application for review of the conviction in June 2021.

This was one of the CCRC’s “Post Office” cases, referred on the basis that the prosecution amounted to an abuse of process and that therefore there was a real possibility the appellate court would not uphold the conviction.

You can find out more about Post Office / Horizon cases on the CCRC’s dedicated hub.

The CCRC referred the conviction in June 2021.

The Crown Court quashed the conviction in July 2022.
