Pollard, Terrence

Published:

Terrence Pollard was convicted in July 2003 at Preston Crown Court of burglary and burglary with intent to steal. Mr Pollard received a sentence of eight years’ imprisonment plus 325 days outstanding from a previous sentence, to be served consecutively.

The CCRC received an application for review of Mr Pollard’s sentence in November 2004.

Following review, the CCRC concluded that the sentencing judge had failed to properly credit Mr Pollard for time served after he was administratively recalled to prison due to breach of licence, having previously been released on licence before completing the sentence for an earlier offence.

The CCRC referred the sentence in June 2005.

The Court of Appeal reduced the sentence in October 2005.
