Mr CB

Published:

Mr CB was convicted in 2002 of robbery and having a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.

Mr CB received a sentence of seven years’ imprisonment for robbery and 18 months’ imprisonment consecutive for the firearms offence.

The CCRC received an application for review of Mr CB’s sentence in March 2005.

Following review, the CCRC concluded that the sentencing judge had inadvertantly failed to give Mr CB any credit for assistance he provided to police in the recovery of the firearm used in the offence.

The CCRC referred the sentence in March 2006.

The Court of Appeal reduced the sentence in October 2006.
