Malloch, Gordon
Gordon Malloch was convicted in June 1990 of making a threat to kill and was fined £200, bound over in the sum of £500 for two years, and ordered to pay costs of £105.
The CCRC received an application for review of the conviction in January 2010.
During review, the CCRC obtained significant new evidence which cast doubt on the reliability of the evidence of a key prosecution witness at trial.
The CCRC concluded that perjured evidence had been given at trial and that perjury may have been suborned by the complainant.
The CCRC referred the conviction in January 2011.
The Crown Court quashed the conviction in April 2011.
