Scam phone calls
We're aware of people who have received calls from someone pretending to be from the CCRC and asking for money. The CCRC is a completely free service, and we will never ask for money. If you receive a call like this, hang up.

Case Library

Since our creation in 1997, the CCRC has referred over 920 criminal convictions or sentences back to the appellate courts. Use the Case Library to browse cases and read summaries of our referrals.

To protect the identities of vulnerable individuals, all sexual offence cases, as well as all cases involving children, have been anonymised. Some other cases, such as those involving vulnerable asylum seekers, have also been anonymised.

If you would like to get in touch about the Case Library, email us at press@ccrc.gov.uk.

Case Studies Hub

In addition to the full library of case referrals which can be searched below, the CCRC is publishing a series of in-depth case studies that explore particular themes of our work in more detail.
