Trade Union (Facility Time Publication Requirements) Regulations 2017 implements the requirement provided by the Trade Union Act 2016 for specified public-sector employers, including the CCRC, to report annually on paid time off, provided to trade union representatives for trade union duties and activities (this is known as union facility time).
In 2023/24, one employee (full-time equivalent of one) was a trade union official.
The employee concerned spent 35 hours (1.81%) of their available time on facility time. The total paybill was £6,445,000 and the total cost of facility time was £1,064. The percentage of the total pay bill spent on facility time was 0.02%. One hundred per cent of paid trade union activities were spent on paid facility time during the period.
